Protesters in Hong Kong are Cleared with Tear Gas

Pro-democracy protesters gathered outside government HQs to protest Beijing's decision of restricting democratic reforms for the city.  The protesters were simply held back with simple police tactics before the police started throw tear gas into the crowds.  This all happened Sunday night, while some protesters were fleeing down the streets escaping the horrible fumes, sources say that many of the protesters did come back to continue these protests.  The protesters included many students and activists who just wanted to be granted a sit-in out side the government headquarters to grant democratic reforms to the once British colony.  Beijing came out and said these pro-democracy protests are illegal, and some police members arrested several legislators who support the cause of democracy including, Jimmy Lai, owner of Hong Kong's only pro-democracy newspaper.

So what do you guys think about this? Do you think that these protests should be illegal? Or do you think that the government is right here? Democracy is a hard price to pay for, do you think that it will ever be established in China or not? Let us know what you think about this horrible situation in Hong Kong, and let us know if you would support these protests if you were living in Hong Kong right now.
