Officer Charged for Firing at Man on Routine Stop

Hello Nation.  Yesterday an article came out stating that a South Carolinian police officer, Sean Groubert, was charged for firing shots at a man who was pulled over for a seat belt violation.  The happening started when Groubert pulled  Levar Jones over at a gas station and quickly told Jones if he could see his license and registration.  When Jones went to get these two, he reached back into his car and Groubert fired four shots from close range at Jones.  Jones was able to respond in the video capturing the horrible event, and when Groubert asked if Jones was hit, Jones replied he couldn't feel his leg.  Jones asked Groubert why he fired at him, and Groubert simply said you don't reach back into your car.

Groubert did call for help while Jones was on the ground, but sources say he is also charged with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature. Groubert will face 20 years in prison if he is convicted.
This was a horrible event that happened in South Carolina, and I can't see Groubert being found not guilty.  If you want to see this for yourself I will include the source below.  But what do you guys think do you think that he has a case, or do you think he was just way out of line and fired way to early without really being in any threat at all?  The police have been making it hard on themselves lately, and this surely isn't going to help.
